News of the Day

• Roheryn Release Notes - May 30, 2007
  Unless you’ve been stuck in quarantine or have been sleeping all day, undoubtedly you’ve heard the buzz about the release notes published on the forums today. There’s a lot of great stuff in these notes. Patience does remind players “Just keep in mind that this is NOT a complete set of release notes. It’s the highlights, and some things may still be subject to change”.
  Just the highlights?! Can’t wait!

Quests
~ information and updates about quests in Middle-earth

• Level-up Quests
  Patience posts information about the level-up quests available at the “Eyes and Guard Tavern”. The tavern is located in the starter towns, immediately after completing the newbie instance. In the tavern you’ll find npcs inside that will allow you to level up to level 30, start a kinship, level up crafting, and even doors that will teleport to different areas of the game.
• Carn Dum quest problems
  amlug addresses the bugs that have been reported regarding Carn Dum and lets players know that many of the bugs they’re seeing right now have been fixed.
• Oakheart’s Plight - Rescue Sara Oakheart (Garth Agarwen quest bug)
  Sara Oakheart. This poor old lady gets herself into the worst predicaments. She’s part of an escort quest in Garth Agarwen and players are reporting problems with completing this quest. I personally encountered the same quest bug the other night. She gets to the end and keeps asking for help like she’s being attacked, yet she’s not. amlug posts that he’ll personally look into it.
• Epic Storyline
  When a player asked how many books are in the game, amlug responds that there are 8 books currently and the ninth is coming out with Shores of Evendim.
• Red Maiden (Garth Agarwen)
  amlug responds to a discussion regarding the bugs encountered with the Red Maiden encounter and tels us the bugs are fixed in the next update.

• Community Discussion about the Release Notes
  There’s a long discussion thread regarding the release notes (enter at your own risk). Admittedly, I haven’t read any of it. I read the release notes and formed my own opinion.

  Brasse’s at it again! Another great comic, this one about the racial traits, specifically the “Headbutt” for dwarves.
• France LOTRO - Interview with Satine
  France LOTRO posts it’s recent interview with Satine, Senior Community Manager at Codemasters Online Gaming (COG), in which she answers several questions about LOTRO, COG, Evendim, and events.
