One of the saddest aspects of MMO’s are people who exploit the system to try and make a profit on something that does not belong to them. Yes, Im talking about Gold Farmers.

LotRO is no different and we are already seeing adds for Gold in game during the Open Beta. But the good news is that Turbine is taking a serious stand on this.

We’re banning these guys at the account level as quickly as we can. I’m surprised it took that long for that one - I can only assume it was a busy night for the GMs.

The situation should get a LOT better once we’re out of open beta and they actually risk accounts they’re paying for (not to mention the price of the game). Right now they’re just obnoxious. I know the GMs are going to breathe a sigh of relief too.
